Who is Vercel?
Vercel is an American cloud platform for deploying websites and web applications, founded by Guillermo Rauch in 2015 under the name ZEIT and renamed Vercel in 2020. It creates and maintains the Next.js framework, and domains whose sites run on Vercel can use its nameservers.

Why do domains use Vercel’s nameservers?
Sites deployed on Vercel can hand the domain’s DNS to Vercel, which then sets up the records itself. Analytics counts those names under Vercel.
