Who is Enom?

Enom is a wholesale domain registrar: web hosts and resellers sell domains to their own customers through its platform under their own brand. Tucows, the Toronto-based domain and internet company, bought Enom from Rightside Group in January 2017, adding 14.5 million domains and 28,000 active resellers.

Who owns Enom?

Tucows. It signed the agreement to buy Enom from Rightside Group on 20 January 2017 and called the combination the second-largest domain registrar in the world at the time.

Why do domains I never bought from Enom use its nameservers?

Because many hosting companies and resellers sell domains through Enom under their own name. Their customers’ domains are registered at Enom and can use its DNS without the customer ever seeing the Enom name.
