Who is Bodis?

Bodis is a domain parking company: owners point domains they are not using to its nameservers, Bodis shows ads on them and pays the owner a commission on the revenue. It also helps owners sell domains through a listing program. Bodis was founded by Matt Wegrzyn and bought the domain investor forum NamePros in 2012.

How does Bodis parking work?

An owner adds domains to a Bodis account and points them to Bodis’s nameservers. Bodis then shows ads on those domains and pays a commission based on the revenue they earn; its terms make no promise that a domain earns anything.

Why does Bodis appear in zone data?

Parked domains use Bodis’s nameservers, so Analytics counts them under Bodis. A name moving away from it can mean it was sold or put to use.
